Up In the Air

I'm kind of a control freak. I know this about myself. Even if I can't control the situation, I like knowing what the situation is. Now....I get to sit around looking pretty and wait for the secret squirrel committee to decide if they're sending the Sailor to country X or country Y. If it's country X then my trip out to Virginia will be cut short by a week. If it's country Y, plans go on as they are, but he deploys sooner, to a much more scary country. So.....which one to I hope for? More time with him now....getting to welcome him home sooner, but also having him in a much more hostile environment, or getting less time now, but knowing that he's (somewhat) safer? Tough call.
